BWL Retreat (2015)

During the weekend of June 26-28, 2015, BWL held its annual summer retreat at the beautiful El Encanto Hotel in Santa Barbara! We held a very productive business meeting on Saturday morning where we engaged in strategic planning led by Janine Hancock Jones and reviewed our end-of-year reports and accomplishments over the course of the 2014-15 bar year. We also discussed proposed amendments to our Bylaws in preparation for voting on them at our annual meeting in October. After completing our business we had a luncheon and CLE on Retirement Planning with presentations from Jermaine Carter of Aligne Wealth Preservation & Insurance Services, Andrea Collins of City National Rochdale, and Deborah Betters of Morgan Stanley. After a relaxing afternoon we capped off the day with a cocktail reception and mixer held at Wine Cask and sponsored by Mass Mutual. On Sunday we had a beautiful brunch on the Channel Islands Terrace where we enjoyed beautiful views of Santa Barbara. Of course, we also had many moments of fellowship in our BWL hospitality suite over the course of the weekend, too! BWL had a relaxing and productive 2015 Retreat!
