On June 3, 2017, BWL, Inc. along with BWL Foundation held our 42nd Annual Scholarship and Awards Luncheon. BWL awarded almost $50,000 in scholarships to deserving law students. Honoree included: Judge Kevin C. Brazile, Assistant Presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court and soon to be the first African-American Presiding Judge of that court; Bernard and Shirley Kinsey, for their achievement in arts and education and the USC Gould School of Law Immigration Clinic. The Kinseys were also honored for their work in securing asylum for two albino girls, Tindi and Bibiana Mashamba, after they survived a brutal attack in Tanzania their home country. It was an afternoon full of inspiration and hope.
