BWL and Langston Bar Association presented another bar review preparation session for students who will take the California Bar Exam in July. Held at USCs Gould School of Law, the audience was wrapped listening to straight-forward and practical instruction on how to pass the bar exam from four voices of authority. Speakers included Hon. Candace Cooper, a retired California Appeals Court justice, who spoke about writing successful essays; Appeals Court Justice Carol Codrington, who addressed how to pass the Multi-State portion of the Bar Exam; retired Los Angeles County Prosecutor Al Jenkins, who gave an overview on time management and mastery of the 13 bar exam topics; and Alternative Public Defender Bruce Brodie, who gave advice on how to tackle the practical part of the exam. Candidates also heard from recent Bar admittees, Ashley Bobo and Paige Clark who employed the advice of the other speakers to pass the Bar.
